The “F” Words–Form, Function & Flux

I haven’t posted in a while.  I’ve been crazy busy in the studio, preparing for The “F” Words—Form, Function & Flux exhibit presented by our ceramic group, POWR (Potters of the Wind Rivers).   There will be nine artists presenting, and the work ranges from raku to wood fire, salt fire, and electric.  Our group has… read more

Janet Mansfield

I was sad to learn today of the passing of one of my heroes, Janet Mansfield.  As a reader of her books and publications, and a fan of her work (especially the salt-glaze pieces), I was sorry to hear of her passing at age 79.  Here’s a link to a mini interview she gave in… read more

Rainbow and a Slow Cool

This was perhaps the best firing ever!  Could it have been a good omen to see a full rainbow as I was loading the kiln?         Or perhaps it was because I left for Denver the morning after the firing and left the kiln to cool slowly over a long weekend.  Who… read more

New Work at Last!

I’ve just posted new work from the last two firings.  Art Fairs in Casper and Jackson have kept me busy, but now it’s time for a little R&R!  Enjoy the new work, and please let me know if you have any questions.

It’s Been A While

But . .  the kiln is cooling and I should be able to post some new results shortly!  I will be an exhibitor at the Jackson Hole Art Fair next weekend, so let’s hope I have some tolerably good work to bring with me!
