Propeller/Petal Butter Dish 161

This wacky butter dish sports a propeller–or is it flower petals?  Either way, it is a unique form and sure to enliven your breakfast table!  It accommodates the shorter butter quarters that are available at your local grocery store–it is slightly too short for the longer versions. The elements are both wheel thrown and hand built, then assembled. The outside has been brushed with a gold tone-colored slip and reflects some of the traditional flashing that you can expect with salt glazing.  A fun gift for the airplane OR the flower enthusiast! The interior is glazed with a steel blue celadon. Microwave and oven safe, but due to the more delicate nature of the propellers/petals, I would advise hand-washing the lid.
