Description of Porcelain Ramekin 21-235
Perfect little porcelain cups for custard, creme brulee or simply as prep bowls. This piece was wheel thrown with tiny carved fluting. The inside is glazed with steel blue celadon, and the exterior is untouched by slips or glazes–the salt during the firing is the only exterior glaze. Some variation in coloration is evidence of how the flame moved through the salt kiln. Here’s a link to a great recipe for creme brulee. Enjoy!
Fired to Cone Ten (2345 degrees F). Four available. Please check out the individual listings. Microwave/Oven/Dishwasher Safe.
