Five inches of snow here yesterday. Bummer! I am very ready for spring! However, we are grateful for the moisture.
Busy day in the studio. I’ve made a new damp box which is working beautifully to keep my pieces workable for a longer period of time. Thanks to Christa Assad for the tip.
I’m gearing up for a firing in the near future. The NicFest is coming up at the end of June and I want to have lots of new work for the event.
In my off-studio time, I have been working on getting information together for our new ceramics guild. We still need a name. Any ideas? Potters of the Wind Rivers is a contender–acronym P.O.W.R.
For any of you who haven’t seen our Wind River Mountains, they are beautiful. The catch is, you must be willing to explore them on foot or by horseback. No motorized vehicles are allowed. It is always a pleasure to spend time in the mountains. I can’t wait until the snowmelt is over and we can access these wonderful areas. There’s lots of inspiration out there!
