Salt & Soda FiringI teamed up with Mark Kronfuss for the latest firing. In addition to the usual salt, we added soda ash to this firing (maybe a little too much!) The work was very "wet", and not quite what we expected, but very interesting. Here are a couple of photos from that firing.  Interesting red-ish flashing, perhaps from copper on a nearby pot. This pot was made from porcelain and had been sprayed with a flashing slip when leather hard.  This pot, too, was made from porcelain and sprayed with the same flashing slip. Quite a difference!
